The jewels of Northridge Country Club’s crown are certainly its staff. The club’s golf staff are available to meet your every need.

Logan Vaughan- General Manager, COO
Logan was born in Paris, Texas and was raised in Sulphur Springs.  After graduating from Dallas Christian College, he spent a few years as an Associate Pastor of a church in Sulphur Springs before deciding to get back into the restaurant and hospitality business. Logan was raised in a family devoted to cooking and entertaining.  His brothers and father have deep roots in the service industry and Logan takes pride in the training and mentoring he received from his father.

In the spring of 2008, Logan joined the family of Northridge Country Club. Bringing with him years of experience with service development, management team building, and strategic planning, Logan is taking Northridge Country Club to the next level. He takes every opportunity available to create an atmosphere of ease and comfort.  Logan's personal goal for Northridge Country Club is to create a "home away from home" for Northridge members, and to provide them with the superior service, and outstanding recreation that they deserve.


Donovan Solis- PGA Head Golf Professional

Donovan Solis was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He has been happily married to Amy since June of 2000 and they have a wonderful son, Donovan Jr. , born in July of 2005. He began his golfing career at Shady Oaks Country Club, the home of Mr. Ben Hogan. Shortly after Mr. Hogan's passing in 1997, he took an assistant professionals position at the historic Colonial Country Club. While attaining his PGA membership, he also became a strong part of a successful golf operating team. Colonial received PGA Section "Merchandiser of the Year" awards in the "Private Club" category in 1998, 2002, and 2008 under the tutelage of Dow Finsterwald, Jr. Donovan also was nominated for his PGA Section "Assistant Golf Professional of the Year" in 2008. Donovan also currently holds a committee position with the Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation.

Bringing this experience and skill to Northridge Country Club has been instrumental in the transformation of the golf operations.  Donovan has also built a strong junior golf program that will ultimately impact the community as well as Northridge. His aspirations are to raise the levels of golf participation in every area of our club. It is his dream and desire to make the members of Northridge proud of their country club in every golfing aspect.


Rusty and Ann Tarwater- Head Tennis Professionals
Rusty and Ann came to Northridge in the Fall of 1990. Both grew up playing in Little Rock, AR as juniors and went on to play college tennis at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Rusty became an Assistant coach at UALR for the Women's team and Ann was a player on the team. The UARL women's team won 3 NAIA National Championships during this time. After their college days, Rusty was assistant pro at Little Rock Racquet Club, while Ann became the assistant pro at Burns Park Tennis Center in North Little Rock.  After a few years as assistants, the opportunity arose for them to work together at Northridge, running their own programs, and they haven't looked back since.

Since their arrival, Northridge has been selected Facility of the Year twice, by the Arkansas Tennis Association. Rusty and Ann were also asked to coach the Arkansas Junior Davis Cup and Witman Cup teams for two years in Southern Competition. Ann won two USTA Team Tennis National Championships, one at the 5.0 level, the other at
the 5.5/6.0 level. Most recently, the pair were awarded the 2008 Arkansas Tennis Pros of the Year Award.


Shannon Donaway - Course Superintendent
Shannon is a native of Crane, Texas and has an extensive history with golf course maintenance.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Agronomics from Kansas State University. He has worked at Fairway Oaks Country Club in Abilene, was assistant superintendent at Horseshoe Bay Resort where he moved on to become superintendent at Barton Creek Resort. Shannon has served at The Foothills Golf Club in Phoenix, AZ, where he did a complete greens and bunker renovation. Shannon has previously served as Construction Superintendent at Trophy Country Club. Prior to coming to Northridge, he worked at Brookhaven Country Club where he was the superintendent of the 54-hole course. Now a key figure at Northridge, Shannon has worked to renovate the course bringing it back to its full glory.



Jennifer Montoya- Event Sales Manager
Jennifer Montoya is new to Texarkana, TX and Northridge Country Club, but not new to the hospitality and event industry. Jennifer started her special events career early in life growing up in southern California working backstage in community theatre, Disneyland and one of the top flower shops in Orange County.

This was followed by her move to the Hawaiian Islands to develop in house sales programs for major hotels and restaurants working directly with the top chefs in the Hawaiian Island chain, creating new and exciting menus and introducing new food products.

After relocating to the Midwest Jennifer combined her cvent, floral and food service backgrounds to develop a wholesale and retail floral division for a major Midwest supplier to hotels, retail chains and the special event industry.

Always looking for new challenges, Jennifer then started her own event company Majestic Events Inc. Majestic Events quickly became known as "The Event Company" in the midwest area.  Her reputation and ability to "make things happen" has given her an impressive client list to include but not limited to, Julia Roberts, Lyle Lovett, Billy Graham, John Mellencamp, Dan Quail, The Indianapolis 500, Kite Properties, Simon Properties, Beazer Homes, Carlos Diaz (Entertainment Tonight), and many, many more.

As a recognized expert, Jennifer and/or her work has been hosted by many TV programs as the expert Event Designer/Planner, as well as People Magazine, and The Complete Idiots Guide to "The Perfect Wedding" and many others.


Chef Jason Stephens- Executive Chef
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Chef Jason loves to be in the fire, turning food into art. Chef Jason obtained his culinary degree from the prestigious Le Cordon Blue, and began his culinary career at Fairmont Turn Berry Isle Resort and Club. Fairmont was a 4-star diamond property, and Chef started as their lead banquet cook. Learning the craft of banquet service and fine dining, Chef was quickly noticed and promoted to Chef De Partie. After Fairmont, Chef Jason moved to Trump Towers Resort Miami. Trump Towers was a 4-star 5-diamond property and Stevens became the Sous Chef for Naomi's bar and grill. At Fairmont, Chef catered to old traditions, but at Trump Towers, everything was about new and exciting cuisines. Chef had the privilege of cooking for stars like Robert Duvall, Matt Damon, Dan Marino, and Donald Trump.

Chef left Trump Tower to become the Executive Chef at Mozart Café.  Mozart Café was a Kosher dairy restaurant that served no meat. So, armed with Chilean sea bass, king salmon, black grouper and a variety of other fresh fish, Chef Jason achieved a three out of four star rating from the Miami Herald. Miami is a melting pot of culture, and it shows in its cuisine. Chef Jason's mission is to share the new and exciting cuisine that resonates with the culture of his home in Miami with the rest of the world.


Vicki Brown - Office Manager/Membership Services
Vicki Brown joined the Management Team at Northridge Country Club in May 2000. A native of Texarkana, Vicki earned her B.A. at the University of Houston. She came to Northridge with more than 15 years experience in sales and public relations.

For the past 10 years, Vicki has been dedicated to our Members and Guests of the Club. She welcomes the opportunity of meeting and getting to know everyone.

Karen Sorsby- Controller
Karen received her B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Texas- Arlington and worked for the Hunt Oil Companies and for real estate development firms in Houston and Dallas before returning to her home town of Texarkana. She was a senior accountant for Walsh Healthcare Solutions in Texarkana for eleven years and joined the Northridge staff in March of 2003. She and husband Gary Sorsby invest in real estate in Texarkana and the surrounding area.
